Lachlan Shaw (1692-1777) Lachlan Shaw was a schoolmaster in Abernethy, before becoming a minister. He had ministries in Kingusse, Cawdor and finally Elgin. As well as being known as an inspiring preacher, he also achieved renown as an outstanding local historian.
