The arms were granted in memory of my father George Gershom Adams. “The cross crosslets fitche are for Adams, the dock leaf and saltire are for Marshall, my father’s maternal line. The three crescents are for Seton. The crest has been used on seals, rings and silver for at least four generations of the family in Edinburgh but no earlier matriculation exists.
