Hugh Rose was known as the “Black Baron” and known for his many accomplishments. He was a close and trusted friend of Mary, Queen of Scots.
Hugh H. Rose (b.1803)
Hugh H. Rose was in command of the Central Field Force during the Indian Mutiny. He fought sixteen successful actions and was made Field Marshal in 1877. His skill and daring is credited with having helped to save the Indian Empire.
Hugh Rose (d.1946)
A distinguished military commander, he was the commander of the 1st Battalion of the Black Watch.
