Lord Mark Kerr (c1745)
Son of the first Marquess of Lothian, the Lord Justice General of Scotland, Lord Kerr became known as a soldier of distinction. He is described as having both a hasty temper and an elevated sense of personal reverence which together led him into many duels.
These he obviously won, living to achieve the rank of general and, in 1745, become governor of Edinburgh Castle.
